Villa Rustica in Wachenheim
It was discovered in 1980 during land consolidation. It is part of a regional Roman hiking path and gives interesting insight into the Roman history of the region. In the center of the excavated and restored estate is a manor that is surrounded by 4 farming buildings, 3 of which you can visit. Grain cultivation, wine-growing, livestock breeding - Villa Rustica presents the broad spectrum of agricultural production, and if you would like to try some bread baked according to ancient recipes, you have the opportunity to do so!
