Frequently asked questions


When can I check in to my apartment? 

Check-in is possible between 3:00 and 5:00 pm. For later or earlier arrivals, please get in contact with us: reservation@burggarten.com - Ms. Weissensteiner-Wiessler. When making your reservation, please let us know when you plan to arrive.

When must I check out of the apartment on my departure day? 

We ask that you check out of your apartment between 9:00 and 11:00 am. Based on availability, a late check-out for an extra fee of 50% of the nightly price is possible. If you would like a late check-out, please let us know no later than 11:00 am a day in advance.

How can I pay for the room?

For a final confirmation of bookings, a deposit of 20% is required. Please make this payment no later than 7 days after booking to our bank accont: Burggarten Appartements, Sparkasse Donnersberg IBAN: DE27 5405 1990 0007 0288 30, BIC: MALADE51ROK. Please transfer the remaining 80% to the same account by the end of the free cancellation period. We accept Visa, Diners, Amex, Eurocard/MasterCard.

How long do I have to cancel the apartment?

You can cancel your reservation depending on the agreed-upon arrangement and season. For no-shows without a cancellation or a late cancellation, we are allowed to charge a cancellation fee to your specified credit card for a stipulated amount.

Is a reservation without a credit card possible?

A reservation is only possible with a guarantee. Instead of with a credit card, you can also guarantee your booking easily with a bank transfer by paying a deposit. 

What appliances are available in the kitchen?

Each kitchen is equipped with an original Italian Illy espresso machine, filter coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, electric stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and extractor fan. We will provide a microwave upon request. 

What dishes and kitchen utensils are available in the kitchens?

In all kitchens, you will find pots, pans, glasses, dishes, silverware, dish towels, and table sets. Spices, herbs, organic teas by Sonnentor, sugar, salt, pepper, as well as basics such as Illy espresso pods and filter coffee are available. Of course, you will also find traditional Palatinate "Dubbegläser" in the cabinet if you would like to enjoy a refreshing spritzer.  

Can I also book breakfast?

Our vacation apartments have a fully-equipped kitchen. If you would like to have breakfast served, we will be happy to arrange this in one of the surrounding restaurants.
Upon request, we will also stock your refrigerator so that you can look forward to a Palatinate breakfast on the first two days of your stay:
- Pfälzer Classic, for gluten- or lactose intolerance and for diabetics . Please let us know in advance, and we will reserve your breakfast table or stock your refrigerator.

Am I allowed to smoke in the apartment?

All of our apartments are non-smoking apartments. Smoking is also not allowed in the wine lounge. You are welcome to smoke on the balconies and terraces with a view of the Rhine Valley as well as in our covered smoker's lounge. A humidor with a small selection of cigars, including those from the Palatinate, is also available.

Can I wash my laundry?

In our small cellar, you will find a washing machine and dryer. Detergent and fabric softener are available as are an iron and ironing board. We ask that you return the iron and ironing board to the cellar as soon as you are finished.

Can I bring along my pet?

We welcome well-behaved dogs. The cleaning fee per day is Euro 15. Dogs are only allowed in the garden and on the Rhine Valley terrace if they are on a leash.

How do I reach Neuleiningen by car?

Our address is 67271 Neuleiningen, Mittelgasse 10. Please use our route planner.

Where can I park my car? 

One parking space per apartment is available to the right and left of the Burggarten Appartements. The parking places are precisely calculated, so we ask that you park considerately and save space. In general, there are few parking spaces in Neuleiningen.

What do I do if I suddenly become sick?

We will be happy to help you: pharmacies with employees who speak several different languages are located in neighboring Grünstadt - 4 km or 7 min. away by car - or in the town of Hettenleidelheim, which is 7 km or 10 min. away by car.

How do I get Internet access?

At check-in, you will receive a separate access code. WLAN is available for free throughout the house. 

Is there air conditioning?

The apartments on the top floor have a permanently installed air conditioner. Please do not change any settings; it will work with remote control. Available in the other apartments is a mobile air conditioner.

Can the bedrooms be darkened?

All of our bedrooms have curtains and window shutters that darken the room when closed.

Can the windows be opened?

If you would like some fresh air, you can open all the windows. 

Are there allergen-free bed linens?

Upon request, we will provide allergen-free bed linens and blankets.

How do I use the smoker's lounge and the wine lounge in the cellar?

The apartment key also locks our wine lounge. Please always close and lock the wine lounge if you are the last person to leave. 

How does self-service work in the wine lounge?

All drinks in the refrigerator in the wine lounge are available to you. Simply fill out the drink stock requisition form. Your drinks will then be automatically charged to your bill.

Can I use the garden?

The ground around and under our house is a nature reserve. Therefore, these areas are not allowed to be used at your leisure. Chairs and tables are not allowed to remain on the terrace. If you would like to temporarily place garden furniture on one of the terraces, we ask that you return it after use - no later than in the evening. A violation of this rule can lead to considerable difficulties with the environmental protection agency. We therefore ask that you comply with the legally stipulated rules. You are welcome to enjoy the ripe fruits in the garden.   

Where can I find garbage cans for garbage disposal?

The garbage cans are located on the south side of our house. There are waste containers for residual waste, organic waste, plastic, paper and glass. Garbage bags are available in the kitchens.
