Eiswoog - Burggarten Appartements

Eiswoog

The rare kingfisher still lives here. It nests on the banks of an idyllic lake that is fed by 7 streams. The lake's natural water is also home to trout, char, and local crayfish. The Eiswoog is the over 6 hectare reservoir of the Eisbach and is part of the biosphere reserve of the Palatinate Forest Nature Park. Along with numerous hiking paths, there is a wonderful, 3 km long panoramic walkway that is accessible with children's strollers. Of course, you can also swim here or go boating. Children can go on an exciting "treasure hunt" around the Eiswoog with a GPS, which is bookable with Volker Schlehdorn via www.palatinascout.de.

An exceptional highlight is the Stumpfwaldbahn. It is a special experience to ride on the museum railway with a track width of 600 mm from the Eiswoog train station to Ramsen.

If you get hungry or thirsty, you can stop for refreshments at Seehaus Forelle Restaurant right on the Eiswoog!
